Membership of a County Assembly is constituted under Section 177 (a), (b), (c) and (d) of the Constitution of Kenya 2010; and Section 7 (1) and (2) of the County Governments Act, 2012. The County Assembly of Turkana has 30 elected members, seventeen nominated members, the Speaker and Deputy Speaker.
The Clerk of the Assembly is the accounting officer in the assembly and the secretary to the County Assembly Service Board(CASB). The County Government Of Turkana is County number 023 and has a senator, a female representative and 6 members of parliament as its leadership.
